OAAN Annual General Meeting for 2007 Come and
Gone
The 22nd Annual General Meeting of the Outdoor
Advertising Association of Nigeria have come and gone. The event took place between the 22nd
and 23rd
November, 2007 at Akodo, Epe,
Lagos.

Some of the dignitaries that
graced the AGM include the former president of OAAN and a member of the Lagos
State House of Assembly, Chief Ahmed Omisore, Current OAAN President, Mr.
Bankole Ademulegun, President of the Newspapers Proprietors Association of
Nigeria, Chief Ajibola Ogunshola, Chairman of the Advertising Practitioners
Council of Nigeria, Mr. Chris Doghudje and President of the Media Independent
Practitioners Association of Nigeria, Mr. Ayo Oluwatosin.
AGM Lectures were delivered by the
Registrar of APCON,
Alhaji Garba Kankarfi and Chief Anthony Idigbe (SAN).
Alhaji Garba Kankarfi delivered a
paper on "the place of Outdoor Advertising in the proposed Mega city
Project" while Chief Anthony Idigbe (SAN) delivered a paper on
"Advertising practice and the Constitution".
Upgrade of Associate Members to Corporate Members
The Outdoor
Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN) have upgraded
six companies from associate members to full
member status during its
recently held AGM. The companies include;
OAAN Suspend Members
The Outdoor
Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN) have
suspended some of its corporate members.
The suspension was due to the inability of the members to fulfill their
financial obligation to the association as at when due.
